Shelter Outreach Program

When considering the state of animal welfare in our region, MCPAWS exists in a unique space where we can, at times, offer assistance to other shelters in need. This is the goal of our Shelter Outreach Program. By transferring in healthy, adoptable animals from partners we are able to relieve some of the burden on high-intake shelters where these animals may be at risk of euthanasia.

Our network of shelter partners also includes trusted organizations that are able to receive animals from us – when we find our kennel rooms a bit too full! This flexibility offers an important benefit to shelter animals – getting them home as quickly as possible!

There is no reason adoptable animals should be dying in shelters – right here in our own state. At MCPAWS we’ll remain dedicated to do what we can, when we can, to continue working towards the shared goal of a No Kill Idaho.
