Meet the Veterinary Team

Dr. Jessi Ross

Director of Veterinary Services

Veterinarian

Dr. Jessi Ross (Mead) is a 2013 graduate of the University of Missouri, College of Veterinary Medicine, but grew up just 50 miles from MCPAWS Veterinary Hospital in the small Idaho community of Pollock.  She fell in love with Idaho as a child but left a few days after high school in pursuit of her dream of becoming a veterinarian and learning the skills necessary to survive in rural Idaho.  Dr. Ross spent 21 years in the U.S. Army, serving as a Combat Medic and Medical Logistics NCO with the Missouri National Guard, including multiple deployments in the Middle East, and later as a Field Service Veterinarian with the Army Reserve.  She will retire in March of 2022, leaving the honor of serving our great nation to the next generation.  Her professional interests include client education, soft tissue surgery, pain management, shelter medicine work and integrative medicine therapies.  When not at work Dr. Ross raises and shows Boer meat goats and loves teaching youth showman how to manage livestock.  She also raises and trains Gypsy horses and enjoys fishing with her dad, gardening, canning, and generally living the Idaho homestead lifestyle she grew up with.  She is very happy to join the MCPAWS team and to serve the community that has always been “home.”

Dr. Colleen Guilfoyle

Veterinarian

Dr. Guilfoyle is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences in Southern California, but she grew up in the finger lakes region of Upstate New York. Colleen received her bachelor’s degree from St. Bonaventure University while also playing Division I Lacrosse. Her professional interests include shelter medicine, challenging internal medicine cases, behavior, and soft-tissue surgery. Most recently, Colleen worked for several years at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Southern Utah treating species ranging from songbirds to thoroughbreds.

In her free time, Colleen enjoys trail running, rock climbing, snowboarding, and (more than anything) hanging out at home with her pets.

Dr. Tetyana Gephart

Veterinarian

Dr. Tetyana Gephart was born and raised in Ukraine. She graduated from the National Agricultural University of Ukraine in 1998 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). Dr. Gephart worked as a veterinarian in her hometown for several years, before moving to the United States. In 2007 she finished all required steps, including a clinical year at the University of Florida, to receive her licensure as a DVM in the US. Dr. Gephart practiced in Florida until relocating to Idaho in 2010, where she worked for the Idaho Humane Society (IHS) Medical Center for the past 12 years.

In 2018 – 2019, Dr. Gephart had a very rewarding opportunity to share her knowledge and surgical expertise as an Adjunct Professor to Washington State University 4th year veterinary students completing their shelter medicine rotation at IHS.

In 2023, Dr. Gephart joined the MCPAWS family at the MCPAWS Veterinary Hospital as a full-time staff veterinarian! She enjoys spending time educating clients and providing compassionate care to their furry family members.

Dr. Gephart shares her home with husband Paul, sone Nikolas, and two dogs – Watson and Crosby. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, swimming, and biking. She is very excited to join the MCPAWS family and looks forward to seeing you at your next veterinary appointment!
