About

MCPAWS Veterinary Hospital

Located in McCall, Idaho

MCPAWS Veterinary Hospital was added to the MCPAWS organization in February 2020 to ensure access to veterinary care in our community. We are a full-service companion animal practice serving Valley County and the surrounding communities.

Our Approach: Access to Care & a Spectrum of Veterinary Services

We practice spectrum-of-care through a team-based approach.  Our Veterinarians and Veterinary Nurses work closely together; this collaborative model allows us to deliver efficient, thorough, and compassionate care while helping more pets receive the care they need. We work with you to find the best possible care plan for your pet, medically appropriate, humane, and aligned with your goals and resources.

We will always present the gold-standard medical option and recommend the care we believe offers the best outcome for your pet. We also understand that every family’s circumstances and resources are different. If a treatment plan is out of financial reach, we will work with you to find medically appropriate, humane, and compassionate alternatives that align with your goals and financial needs.

This approach allows us to:

  • Provide preventive and wellness care
  • Manage illness and chronic conditions over time
  • Discuss multiple care pathways when appropriate, without judgment or pressure
  • Balance medical necessity, quality of life, and financial consideration without judgment

Our priority is to keep pets healthy and comfortable while supporting the people who care for them.

** Accessible care does not mean free care. Our goal is to keep veterinary services – especially preventative and wellness care – as affordable as possible whenever we can, so more pets can receive the care they need. We are committed to discussing options openly and finding a care plan that balances your pets health needs with your resources.

Our Veterinary Nurses are highly trained professionals who play a key role in your pet’s healthcare. Many routine services, treatments, education, and follow-up care can be expertly provided by our nursing team under veterinary supervision. While some visits may involve less time directly with a doctor, your pet’s quality of care is never compromised. This team-based approach allows us to provide efficient, high-quality care and serve more pets while maintaining the personalized attention your pet and family deserve.
