Meet Tom

Tom’s story is special. At one point in his life, Tom had a human companion and lived in a home. Sadly, his owner moved and left him behind. So, Tom found a pipe and made it his “home”. The neighbors fed him, but it wasn’t an ideal situation for a once comfortable cat. 

The neighbors trapped Tom and brought him to shelter. Unfortunately he also suffered from a large growth on his neck. The MCPAWS Veterinary Hospital team removed the benign mass from his neck, and now Tom is much more content. 

At the shelter, Tom hides in the safety of his feral den, though he is not feral at all. Tom accepts affection, but he also likes his personal space. We think he’d make a great indoor/outdoor cat. 

Tom is neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinations, and microchipped. The public is welcome to visit with Tom on a walk-in basis. Staff is happy to help you meet Mr. Tom. Call the shelter at 208-634-3647 for any questions.
