Remember!
Kittens & puppies are cute, but
please... consider adopting an ADULT companion
animal!

SKITCH & JINX
Adult critters are more
likely to be house-trained & calm, & may have already adapted to home life
with other pets or children.
They deserve a second chance.

Every
month is Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month
at MCPAWS!
There are so many kitties waiting for real homes... too many.
They've done nothing wrong,
just run short on luck.
Most have been 'found', some surrendered. Many are already experienced in family and household routines.
ALL deserve a second
chance for happy, loving homes.
Please
give a
MCPAWS
feline a chance--kitten or adult--
if you're planning a new
feline addition to your household.
The right pet for you and your family
is waiting for you at
MCPAWS! |
|
Call or visit
MCPAWS
if you would like to adopt a shelter pet. If adoption is not an option, the
cats still benefit greatly from a visit. Stop in at the shelter and spend
some time with them upstairs at MCPURRS.
They need and appreciate the extra attention, and the additional socialization helps
to make
them more adoptable.
This site is updated as photos and information become
available.
There are more cats at
the shelter than are listed on this page.

MEET THE FELINES
AT MCPURRS!
Our cat-friendly area
upstairs at MCPAWS is a PLEASURE to visit,
thanks to the very hard work of staff and volunteers. The cats do have kennels,
just like most
shelters, but they also have the run of the place at least once a day
(usually more). This allows them to socialize with other cats & lots of
folks, play & exercise. They get many opportunities to snooze in the sun, or
even go outside-- there is a secure area built on each deck where the
kitties can get fresh air, frolic or relax. Volunteers and staff are
devoted to making
these kitties happy and therefore, more adoptable. You will have no trouble at all finding the right
feline friend at MCPURRS!

SKITCH & JINX
These two sisters are polydactyl (LOTSA TOES!) and have spent more than
their fair share of time at MCPAWS. Both are
spayed, both are
house-trained and used to household routines, and both would like to have a
REAL forever home! About 8.5 years old, they don't ask for much, just to
trust that they finally get to stay home, enjoy sunny windowsills, cozy
beds, and good company. If you have room in your heart and home for a
retiree or two, please contact MCPAWS as soon as possible!
Skitch and Jinx are adoptable now.

ERTHA:
Found on Lick Creek Road, it's hard to understand why no one was in a panic
to find her-- Ertha,
a Siamese mix, is de-clawed
and needs the safety of an indoor lifestyle. Her deep blue eyes implore you
to find a peaceful sunny windowsill for her to occupy in your home! 4.5 years old and
spayed,
Ertha
is adoptable now. Though she doesn't care much for other cats, this
beautiful cat would love to have a chance to be on her own in your quiet,
loving home-- she's been at MCPAWS for awhile, so give her some time to
adjust, then relax and enjoy each other's company! |

OPHELIA:
Beautiful calico, 2.5 years old, found near
Cascade Reservoir near Arrowhead Point.
Ophelia
arrived at MCPAWS with her family, but the kids have moved on and she's so
very lonely. This sweet-natured feline has a coat of many colors,
is spayed and litterbox-trained.
She works in the front office at MCPAWS, keeping staff in line, and career
counseling young felines. Adopt today! |
